ane County is our first stop in this episode. Miles of outdoor fun for runners here in "Track Town USA"! We'll sample gorgeous wines of the region and some truly great classical music at the Oregon Bach Festival. We meet the world-renowned Shanghai Quartet. There's even representation of "Green Eggs and ham"!

In this episode, Alistair Divall enjoys the waterfalls of the Mckenzie River, turns his hand to white water rafting and dune driving, then golf at some of Oregon's most amazing courses. A trip to the coast takes us to the Sea Lion Caves while we also enjoy some fabulous food and a glass or two of fine wine. A visit to Springfield shows us farmers markets and street art.

Heading west, explore the most dramatic and varied part of the dazzling Oregon coastline. Few can rival the Florence to Cape Perpetua segment of this National Scenic Byway for its striking vistas, historic lighthouse, and access to amazing wildlife in the world’s largest sea cave. South of Florence, the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area is a haven for dune buggies at Sand Dunes Frontier,  touring, wildlife viewing and sand boarding  at Sand Master Park – it’s like snowboarding but on the dunes.

East of the Willamette Valley, the McKenzie River is home to some of Oregon’s most skilled river guides. Outdoor enthusiasts are drawn to the area for whitewater rafting, famous fly fishing, boating, cycling, camping, and golf.

Year-round the Cascades sparkle with azure-blue lakes, a feast for the eyes whether seen from a snowy chairlift or a cozy summer campsite. When the snow finally melts on Eagle Peak, the ski lift at Willamette Pass transforms into the Oregon Skyway gondola, where riders enjoy 360-degree views of the Willamette National Forest and Diamond Peak on a leisurely ride up and back. In this adventurist’s playground, the nearby town of Oakridge is quickly becoming the mountain bike capital of the Northwest with its hundreds of miles of single-track trails that tantalize beginners to experienced riders.
